What is your purpose being back on DA?
I think I just mostly want to start fresh. I'm going to be organizing through a lot of my old work and start drawing more and posting it. Drawing is kind of something I've lost touch with, but I used to absolutely love to draw. It'd be nice to get back into it now that I have more time.
Any personal life goals?
Career wise, I've decided to become an illustrator. As far as graphic design goes (my previous profession), my last job didn't offer me much flexibility in designing and changed my perspective of what it would be like. Maybe it was just the field I worked in but maybe freelancing would be a different story. I enjoyed my own personal graphic design projects for other people. I think Illustration will give me a lot more creative freedom and will be a lot more fun. I want a career I'll enjoy for the rest of my life and so far this seems perfect.
Where are you from?
I'm from a small city located in Canada.
Who are your inspirations?
is definitely one of my biggest inspirations. She is so sweet and so humble and her work is the cutest I've ever seen. :') Such wonderful talent matched with a sweet personality is what makes me admire her so much.
My second inspiration (only art wise) would be .
Would you consider going back to school?
I'd consider going to an art school, but at this point I don't know if it would be worth it. I'm a good self learner and I think I would learn best teaching myself and seeking out what I need to know. Putting thousands of dollars into something I could learn by myself seems pointless to me (no offense to anyone who does that, if it worked for you that's great! Just my own point of view for myself).
Is there anything else you'd like to say?
Yes! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my page and read this. I'm actually looking for somewhat of a mentor in drawing. I'm most interested in digital drawing for realistic art and anime styled art. If you think there's any advice you could give me that could help me move in those directions, I'd be forever thankful!
